It was a bust weekend for Matthew Marshall as he was Assistant Director on crew of a new short film that was shot in Chatham, Ontario, both Saturday and Sunday called Ronny’s Bench. The film is about a man is confronted with a choice of doing the right thing or doing what’s right for him. The screenplay was written by Don Hickey who is from Chatham and he played the lead role of Ronny. The film is directed by Corrinne Wood, who Marshall has worked with in the past. She has been Production Manager for several 12 Disciples productions including most recently Marshall’s Tuned In. The pair are also teaming up for a short film told through dance called Struggles Within which Wood wrote.

Various locations around Chatham made up the back drop of the film.  The short film features some familiar names who have worked with Marshall and his company m & s Marshall productions on previous films. Florin Marksteiner, who was Haydar in Daughter of the King and also Marshall co-founder of the 12 Disciples.  Helena Rose (Tuned In), Jamie Rainbird (Tuned In, Falling For You & J), Corina Leatherdale (Tuned In, Daughter of the King, and Addictions). Talitha Wood is on Crew. She was Stacey in Tuned In and has done crew for a number of the 12 Disciples productions.
