The fourth and final dance segment of the short film Struggles Within finished filming and was wrapped today Sunday August 28th. Finishing this part completes the body of the film. Leaving an opening scene along a city street and some interior scenes for the beginning and end that are left to film which will take place early September.
The independent short film takes a dramatic look through dance at the issue of depression. It’s an emotional look at young women’s struggle with depression, and her choice as to whether she wants to continue to live. The short film is told entirely through dance with no words.
Struggles Within written and directed by Corrinne Wood and is a co-production with Chatham based IME Films and m & s Marshall Productions. This is the second day of principle filming at a private residence in St Thomas.
Production now turns to scenes in a bath tub of a private residence and a street scene to be filmed in and around St Thomas. Following that the film will be into post production with no date set for the final film to be finished.
