Matthew Marshall and m & s Marshall Productions has named it’s lead for Malicious Attack. The lead role of Naomi Spencer will be played by Katie Ostojic. “She is a perfect choice for this role. She gets the character and I have worked with her before, “says Marshall when talking about Ostojic.
Katie is proud to be playing the lead role in this production. Previously Katie was “the Girl” the lead role in the dance short film Struggles Within about depression. Katie was also a “student” in Marshall’s short film Tuned In. On Stage Katie was in Parkside’s Shrek the Musical where she played a Duloc Dancer, a Tapping Rat and Thumbelina. Katie has been dancing competitively since she was 8 years old. Through her dance studio, she has participated as a back up dancer in the Family Channel’s, The Next Step. In the summer of 2012 her dance troupe traveled to London, England to provide entertainment through dance at the Summer Olympics. She spent a summer in Fridge Door Live theatre camp, and was the lead role for their end of camp production. Live theatre is her passion and she is excelling in her drama course with a 95 average.
Malicious Attack is about a 25 minute dramatic short film that focuses on the issue of bullying. The story that follows Naomi Spencer a teenager girl who is pushed to her limits by several girls at her High School who make her the target of their attacks. The relentless attacks come from three teenagers, Savannah White, and her friends Brittany De Silva and Avery Le Paige. Naomi’s best friend Macey tries to find ways to help Naomi expose the bullying, but Naomi is unwilling to come forward. . The Attacks on Naomi continue until she is reaches a breaking point. Principle production is to start late fall and work into March and April of 2017.
